- 2Oranges, peeled and juiced
- 1Lemon, peeled and juiced
- 1Cinnamon stick
- 5Whole cloves
- 3Star anise
- 2 tbspHoney
- 1.5 ozRuby port (optional)

- 1Makes five.
- 2Put the wine, citrus peels and juice, spices and honey in a pot, partly cover and warm gently without boiling, then simmer on low for about thirty minutes, adding more honey to taste.
- 3Stir in the port at the end, strain, and serve warm in heatproof glasses with an orange slice or a cinnamon stick.
