Blanco Tequila Cocktails

Blanco tequila is the clear, generally unaged style of Mexico’s blue Weber agave spirit. It may spend less than two months in oak under tequila’s category rules, so blanco does not always mean no wood contact at all. Cooking, fermentation and distillation shape its agave character without the extended maturation used for reposado or añejo. In cocktails, blanco supplies a direct agave base for citrus, salt and carbonated mixers. The Margarita combines it with lime and orange liqueur, the Paloma pairs it with grapefruit, and the Batanga brings together tequila, cola, lime and salt.
